Two weeks is more than enough time to dramatically improve your chances of getting that elusive 5 score. I would recommend purchasing a book and going through as many questions as possible. More importantly, though, review your missed questions. You don t learn if you just take a bunch of practice questions. Learning takes place when you sit down, go over your missed questions, and figure out what skill gaps need to be filled. Hopefully, as you complete more questions, you ll recognize patterns in questions that you re missing. Then you can focus solely on those question types to improve your chances of getting those extra 5-10 questions that you had been missing before. Also, with AP Lit, it s particularly important to work on your critical analysis skills. My three biggest tips: 1) read for context, 2) do process of elimination in all cases (easier to narrow down than to pick off the bat), and 3) always support your choice with textual evidence.

Review AP terms and vocab, familiarize yourself with rhetorical strategies, especially ones that you can use in essay writing, take a practice test and try to see if there is a specific type of question you consistently get wrong. I know for me I always got the tone questions wrong so I made sure to study tone. Although it is hard to make vast changes in writing essays at this point, if you are scoring 7s or 8s try using different writing techniques like turnabout paragraphs instead of standard paragraphs. I also worked a lot on time-management when writing essays. I had a lot of trouble when I had to keep myself on pace to complete 3 essays because in class we would only have time to write 1 essay at a time.

you just write a lot of stupid essays and read some stupid books. you don t prepare, its pretty much a blow off class if you re ok at english. Just got my AP test score back and I got a 5, we "Read" about 7 books, which means everyone just used sparknotes
