teens get restless when waiting to drive so when they finally drive they can get reckless making it unsafe for other drivers and pedestrians. Overall the younger they are the more dangerous it is for the community

I think that teen are not matured to drive at a young age. Especially when they are in school. Yes, kids can drive to school but they can also use it to go to other places that are not necessary such as party. It is very likely that the teens would drink alcohol at the party leading them to drink and drive and when they drink and drive they will have a car accident.

Stop biting your nails in trying to come up with topics for a persuasive essay. There’s a great solution to your problem!

Of course, you could spend a couple more hours staring into the ceiling trying to come up with a brilliant topic for your next great persuasive/argumentative essay.

Persuasion essays are a bit like argument essays , but they tend to be a little kinder and gentler. Argument essays require that you discuss and attack an alternate view, while persuasive essays are often more like attempts to convince the reader that you have a believable argument.

Consider prompt number 26 from the list below (cell phones should never be used while driving). You could explain in a persuasive tone - based on statistical data - that drivers using cell phones when driving led to 1 in every 4 crashes in 2014 (according to the  National Safety Council ).

The highest death rate for drivers is amongst the age group 17-25. If the driving age is increased there would a be a fall in fatalities arising from motor car use. This has a significant economic benefit.

Driving encourages the population to become lazy and obese. If people can’t drive they will be forced to walk, use public transport and cycle. This will help lead to a healthier population, which in turn leads to less strain on the NHS

The legal driving age has been a constant debate and every few years another log is thrown onto the fire. Should we really raise the legal age to drive? Would it save lives? If so, how high should we raise it? Currently, most states allow for teen drivers to apply for a drivers permit 6 months after their 15th birthday. Some say this is way too soon.

Is age really the biggest factor to consider? If we raise the legal driving age to, say, 17 years old, wouldn’t 17 year olds have the highest accident rate simply due to lack of experience? Many argue that our decision making skills aren’t fully developed at 16 (the legal age at which a license can actually be obtained). However, this is mostly unsubstantiated evidence and since every person develops differently, a blanketed law is going to punish those who are ready.

When considering topics  for a persuasive paragraph , essay , or speech , focus on those that genuinely interest you and that you know something about. Any one of the 30 issues listed here may serve as a good starting point, but feel free to adapt the topic to meet the needs and concerns of your audience.

Young drivers, and even older ones, cause many fatal accidents; raising the minimum age at which people can drive might reduce this, but is it a benefit to society, and are the statistics true? We can help lower the accident rates if the driving age is raised to 18 so no more kids can get hurt or killed in a accident on the freeway or by another car crashing into their car if we raise the driving age it will be safer for the young and old drivers.

The numbers speak for themselves. Statistics have shown that 15% of all accident deaths on UK roads involve drivers under the age of 21. Research shows that 17 to 20 year olds are about seven times more likely to be killed or injured in an accident (per mile of driving). This is illustrated by the fact that 135 teenage drivers were killed on UK roads during 2007, with many more injured. Raising the minimum driving age to 18 would dramatically decrease deaths and injuries.

Teens under the age of 18. Even 13 year olds will be unhappy to see driving pushed two years farther away. Those who are already driving would be less threatened; by the time the change could happen they will already be 18.

-it d be difficult to take away all the licenses of people who don t fit the new age requirement -less car sales -more solicitors because people will have to walk everywhere -less sales everywhere because teens wouldn t be able to drive places and buy things
