Can you tell me some common advantages of reading any book?

When Maggie Moore, a suburban Denver mom, was literally weighing her packing options for a family trip, she was stumped by her 4-year-old son’s stack of favorite books. He had dozens, and she knew they’d be too heavy to take along. But they would be away for a few weeks — how could she bring only a few?

That’s when she reluctantly bought a Nook, loading titles for both of them onto it. She wasn’t a big fan of the extra screen time it would mean for her preschooler, but Moore justified the purchase as a stopgap solution. What happened next surprised her: From the moment her son held the device and began to scroll through a book, he was transfixed. “He was in heaven,” says Moore.

Pick up a good book or find a good article, sit back and relax, turn off your electrical devices and shut yourself off from the rest of the world and all its troubles.

Put your worries and problems to one side and take full advantage of all the positive and calming benefits that reading has to offer you.

Even though globalization affects the world’s economies in a very positive way, its negative side should not be forgotten. Discuss.

Globalization is such a commonly used term in the century. It simply means that the world has become integrated economically, socially, politically and culturally through the advances of technology, transportation and communication. It is undeniable that globalization has resulted in both positive and negative effects which must be addressed accordingly.

Nowadays online shopping becomes more popular than in-store shopping. Is it a positive or a negative development? Give your reasons and examples.

Now that we can buy just about anything with a few mouse clicks from the comfort of our home, very few people actually feel the need to venture into brick and mortar stores. There is no denying the fact that online shopping has become more popular than in-store shopping. This trend has both positive and negative aspects.

I started teaching my little boy to read beginning at 22 months, and by age four, he was decoding text (reading, in that sense) quite fluently at the sixth grade level, or above.

I’ve discovered that there isn’t a lot written about the subject of baby reading.  So I have written a 45,000-word essay on the subject:

With every advantage there may come disadvantages. Example, American presidential candidates at one time made whistle stop trips on trains to speak from the last car in the train to those who took the time to come and hear them first hand. The media was the local news paper editor and little else. The message was passed to friends that did not make the whistle stop. From my reading I believe real issues were presented and of course the positions the candidate held. If the crowd was friendly may times questions were answered, no mater who ask them. Today with the media, the candidates can and do, throw mud ( often lies or misquote the opponents, take some act out of context and all too frequently offer very little about the issues. Often the only questions answered are those ask by the media which of course is the TV and radio reporters who by themselves have an Axe to grind. Politicians not wishing to answer a question today often just offer mumbo jumbo if they do not know or chose not to answer. I do not believe (and I have listened ) ever heard a politician just admit they did not know the answer or to answer a question contrary to the opinions of the lobbysts they take money from. Most TV and Radio today is owned by very liberal Money. If you share there leanings (left) that is your absolute right but If your conservative leaning (right) your quite offended by most network TV. At least in the USA Fox is the only hope for representation of both sides. There are a few independent Radio stations that vary from a fair balance to actually leaning pretty far (Right) but unfortunately the FCC is crippling them with crazy regulation and fines. Personally I find it pretty sad. European Media does not editorialize every last news story. Most of them give the facts, Who, What, Where and How. They leave the WHY to the listener and reader. Also many stories that are truly nothing more than Politics are covered in the USA as news.
