Now 24, I feel as if I have been preparing to enter a BSN program ever since I immigrated to America from my native Ethiopia five years ago. I have been very much blessed in America and given the chance to not only to be the first member of my family to ever go to college, but to do so in the USA.

I have been preparing myself for your distinguished BSN Program at the University of XXXX in many ways and for many reasons. I see the greatest strengths of XXXX and the U of X to be our great respect for and admiration if diversity and progressive causes and I see this as particularly true in the case of health care in general and nursing in particular. My job at XXXX International Airport as a Meet and Assistant has helped me to become accomplished at caring for and helping with people of all ages, especially elderly people and those who are physically challenged, from all over the world, global cultures, languages, and customs. I have learned a great deal at the airport that I am confident will help me to excel in nursing school as we continue to make great strides in our celebration of diversity in nursing.

I help as many applicants to nursing school as I can, doing more work in Nursing than any other field. I especially enjoy drafting statements for people whose story excites me, people who I feel strongly are in a unique position to give something of importance to their respective professions. And I only do my best, taking the time to reflect on your story as well, usually doing some internet research on your behalf.

There are hundreds of possible topics that you can be asked to write an essay on. Given below are some of the more common ones.

List all your activities for the past four years. Include school activities; awards, honors, and offices held; community services; jobs; and travel. Record major travel experiences. Note your strongest impressions and how they affected you. If you loved the Grand Canyon, for example, write down three specific reasons why, aside from the grandeur and beauty that everyone loves. Describe an accomplishment that you had to struggle to achieve. Include what it was, how you tackled it, and how it changed you.

On this site, we have tried to take the intimidation out of the essay-writing process by providing step-by-step guidelines that we and our friends found useful in our own application processes. While we concentrate on Statements of Purpose for graduate schools, this site will also be of some use to undergraduate applicants and to those writing essays as part of the application process.

Admission to the university does not guarantee admission into the School of Nursing. Students interested in being considered for admission into a School of Nursing BSN program must indicate their desire on their application to the university.

Applicants will be reviewed by the School of Nursing Admissions Committee for possible admission into the university as well as the BSN program.

All applicants are welcome to apply to the Masters programs except those who are residents of the following states: Arkansas, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Washington, Wisconsin, and Louisiana due to state authorization. Attention Oklahoma residents: The College can only accept Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students from Oklahoma. The College is unable to accept Oklahoma residents into any of the College’s other online graduate programs.

Unconditional: Unconditional acceptance is given to all applicants who meet all the admission criteria and are approved by the Admission Committee of the Graduate Program.

I, Maria Patson, mother of Ms. Claire Patson would like to request you for her admission in your school in grade 7. She has been a bright student all this while and attached are the copies of her grade sheets for your convenience. We have recently moved to California due to which we had to change her school and yours being one of the best in California, I had no second thoughts about any other school.

Also attached is the duly filled admission form along with the copies of her various certificates that she has won in her extra curriculum activities. She was also awarded the Best Academic performer for two consecutive years in her previous school.
