In a 150 word essay how many paragraphs are there?

Whether the paper is double or single spaced and how big the words are also makes a difference. A 750-word paper with a large percentage of shorter words is going to be shorter than one where the average word is three or more syllables long. There are sites that allow writers to convert words to approximate page lengths based on the particular font and size.

Many people have trouble writing enough, but others use more words than necessary, especially when writing quickly and focusing on putting their ideas into words. Keeping an essay under a word limit can sometimes be just as difficult as making a word limit. This guide will help you keep the quality of your essay while still respecting the word limit.

One of the more common questions that arrive for the Q&A section asks how many words there are in the English language. Almost as common are requests for the average size of a person's vocabulary. These sound like easy questions; I have to tell you that they're indeed easy to ask. But they're almost impossible to answer satisfactorily, because it all depends what you mean by word and by vocabulary (or even English).

What we mean by word sounds obvious, but it's not. Take a verb like climb. The rules of English allow you to generate the forms climbs, climbed, climbable, and climbing, the nouns climb and climber (and their plurals climbs and climbers), compounds such as climb-down and climbing frame, and phrasal verbs like climb on, climb over, and climb down. Now, here's the question you've got to answer: are all these distinct words, or do you lump them all together under climb?

I ususually figure in a typical double spaced typed page as holding 300 words (give or take) so it sounds like you should be writing a 2 to 3 page paper. As for a idea I would suggest writing on anything you are passionate about - and I do mean anything. It sounds like that is a very broad topic and I would think you would have no problem coming up with an idea based on your own passions.

There's nothing like an approaching deadline to give you the motivation (and fear) you need to get writing – don't stress though, we're here to help you out! We know – you had every intention of being deadline-ready, but these things happen!

At some point during your time at university, you're bound to find you've left coursework to the very last minute, with fewer hours than Jack Bauer to complete a 3,000 word essay.
