Temme? What s that? Do you mean "tell me"? Wuthering Heights was originally thought to be the work of a male author since Emily wrote under the pseudonym or pen-name Ellis Bell. When it was first published the reviews were mixed. Most critics thought the author to be of great skill, but thought the book itself was difficult given its new style of writing. In this case, the forward/backward timelines was a novelty. Check out a few contemporary critical reviews, and information on the novel at Wikipedia:

I m sorry I don t currently have the book on me but I can try to help. For arrogant, get some quotes off Catherine s brother. Him talking down to Heathcliff would be a good example because he thinks he s better than Heathcliff. Same for disrespectful. For cunning and able to adapt, show Catherine where she makes herself ill to spite Heathcliff or when Heathcliff comes back now rich and wanting payback, remember that he tricks Catherine s brother to get his house. Cynical - not sure, perhaps a Heathcliff or Cathy quote when they first meet. Cathy wouldn t want a boy like Heathcliff in her house at the beginning/she would be cynical of her fathers choices. Emotionally conflicted - Heathcliff, quotes to Cathy about love Rebellious - Cathy and Heathcliff going to this familys houses, can t remember the names but the dogs chase her
You got the gist of it. And, really, that s all there is. But teachers don t really want to hear that. They want you to talk about the "deep" qualities of the book. So, in your book analysis, talk about the pure love that Heathcliff and Catherine had. How they loved each other despite their class differences and money. And how Catherine had to marry Edgar because he was rich, and back then, money was everything. And how that drew Heathcliff to indescribable sadness, which made him do what he did. So the theme is, pure, true love that was twisted by society. Really, I don t think this, but it sounds pretty good.
