Yes. Personally I don t think anyone should drink or smoke marijuana but.they are never going to outlaw alcohol again and the marijuana "industry" is alive and thriving so why don t they just legalize it, tax it and make some real money on it instead of spending billions of dollars trying to get rid of it. Last week it was reported on the ABC news that "Marijuana is the top US cash crop." I say capitalize on it, take it out of the local drug dealers hands and just be done with the whole thing. And please, if some cancer or glaucoma patient needs to have a little joint to alleviate some of their discomfort, LET THEM HAVE IT. What difference does it make if they have a few hits on a joint or a jolt of prescribed morphine. Really!!!!!!

There is not enough support to use marijuana or cannabis medically in in the America and across the globe. There has been lots of debating about whether marijuana should be legalized or not. Below are 10 powerful reasons which explain why marijuana should never be legalized.

Smoking any substance will have a negative and potentially life-threatening effect on your respiratory health. Marijuana use can affect a person''''''''''''''''s memory, IQ, judgment, and problem-solving skills. There are many cases, linking the use of marijuana to the increased chance of forming a mental illness, although there is little scientific evidence to prove this. For example, some people who have smoked marijuana have later been diagnosed with psychosis or schizophrenia. Another notable point is that the strains of cannabis in circulation now are much stronger than they once were.

Governor Wolf signed the bill into law Sunday afternoon at a ceremony in the Capitol rotunda surrounded by advocates and lawmakers.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 3 on Wednesday with a vote of 149-46 after the Senate passed it Tuesday with a 42-7 vote.

According to the first amendment everyone has the right to the pursuit of happiness. What if someone is only happy if they are using marijuana? If that is the case then the United States gov''''t is taking away the pursuit of happiness for Americans which is not what the founding fathers wanted to happen.

Why not? If everyone smoked pot this world would be at peace. I mean, I''''m a smoker and I see nothing wrong with it. I love it.. It makes me wanna do stuff, like work. Makes me wanna get up and clean the whole house, go do yard work, anything. It puts me to ease when I''''m stressed. I just love it

One of the most egregious outcomes of marijuana prohibition is that many sick people cannot legally access the medicine that works best for them. The Drug Policy Alliance (DPA) is committed to legalizing marijuana at the state and federal levels and improving medical marijuana programs to better protect patients’ rights and access to medicine.

Election Day was a watershed moment for the movement to end marijuana prohibition no other reform was approved by so many citizens on so many ballots this year. Legalization initiatives prevailed in four out of five states, and medical marijuana initiatives prevailed in all four states.

Today, thousands of patients are able to use marijuana as an effective method of treatment for their ailments. This is possible because fourteen state governments across the country have acknowledged cannabis’ effective healing properties and legalized its consumption for medicinal purposes with the consent of a licensed physician. However, these patients are at the mercy of the federal government and its authority.

One of the biggest positive impacts that the legalization of marijuana would produce is the reintegration of hemp into our society, and more importantly in current times, our economy. Hemp is a plant that is grown for industrial use only; in fact, hemp contains less that 1% THC and causes no “high” when smoked.

No study shows marijuana as a more effective or safer treatment for anything. And this is coming from a pot head

I m doing a speech too, and I used different types of medical issues people have like epilepsy and Alzheimer s, and AIDS/HIV. I listed out all of the symptoms and how much it costs and how many people have it in the USA. I was told it was a great way to set up my paper. The solution where just trials and studies found that helped people with their problems, including side effects, percentage of success, and personal testimonies I was able to dig up and use. Overall benefits would be taxes to help fund schools because there would be places selling it, and of course it needs to be taxed. As well as more job opportunities to sell and grow. As well as freeing up jail space for those who actually deserve to be there. I hope this helped, and I hope your teacher would be open to the way I set my outline up. :) For anyone who disagrees that there are no good things to come, please remember, there have been studies that show the science behind it all, and it does work. Also, on Indian grounds, they have sort of like a hang out area that allows you to smoke, it has made a huge profit, and has had nothing but good reviews. I do suggest if you are going to fight back, at least have a few credible sources and know your facts because scientifically, legalization is the right way to go.
