Aspartame was approved for dry goods in 1981 and for carbonated beverages in 1983. It was originally approved for dry goods on July 26, 1974, but objections filed by neuroscience researcher Dr. John W. Olney and consumer attorney James Turner in August 1974, as well as investigations of G.D. Searle''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s research practices caused the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to put approval of aspartame on hold (December 5, 1974). In 1985, Monsanto purchased G.D. Searle and made Searle Pharmaceuticals and The NutraSweet Company separate subsidiaries.

    1. My son did not take a dummy either and also wanted to feed to fall asleep. I let him. A newborn needs the comfort of his mother, and breastfeeding is the natural way a baby comforts himself. Believe it or not, you ll miss this stage one day lol. 2. My son cluster fed until about 3 months (after the growth spurt) there is really no solution to this. Since breastfeeding is done on demand, and since there is no way to know how much milk your son is drinking at one feed (especially since most newborns fall asleep at the breast) there is no other option besides feeding him when he shows a need or want. My son was nursing at a steady 3 hours by 3.5 or 4 months. Just hang in there! 3. Lollies should definitely not effect your son, especially if you haven t noticed any difference in his sleeping or behaviour pattern. I drank a cup of coffee a day while nursing and never effected my son. That s about all I can answer. If you haven t had your first postpartum checkup yet, make sure you mention the constipation to your doctor. If you have, then I would definitley give the doctors office a call and speak to a doctor or nurse. Good luck:)
