Elementary-school children need oversight and instruction as they learn to write introductions and conclusions for English or language arts essays. As a teacher, parent or tutor, you can help your students learn to write concrete, understandable topic sentences that guide readers through the rest of the paper. They should also learn how to summarize main points and end with compelling final sentences.

Teach your students how to grab the reader''s attention by creating an interesting topic sentence, according to the University of Washington. The goal is to help them learn the importance of making a strong first impression with a well-structured, confident topic sentence.

Depends on the child s age. When very young, you teach them what to think--they have to have a place to begin--you can t learn how to think until you have a certain amount of knowledge from which to analyze and make reasoned conclusions. But as children grow older, whether you like it or not, they will form their own opinions and such, so you make sure that they learn how to think, how to look at the evidence and make reasoned conclusions, how to avoid being fooled by misleading data, etc.

While I was studying at university, I got involved in helping at open days and the like. I discovered that I just really enjoyed it. I had no intention of teaching until then. I am now a high school science teacher. Some people thought I might be wasting my education (I have a phd), but my family were very supportive. Money wasn t really an issue. Despite what some people say, teaching in the UK pays quite enough to live on. I get paid more than I would do if I did a manual job in a factory.

Your conclusion could summarize your previous paragraphs while showing why this teacher is not only your favorite, but an important person/influence in your life. As for ideas about your ess: *Think about what makes this teacher a great teacher not only to your, but to other students as well. *What qualities does this teacher exude to make you appreciate them? *Does this teacher go out of his/her way to help you learn? *Is it simply the teacher s personality you connect with, or his/her actions? Do these actions occur both inside and outside of the classroom? *Write about a few positive experiences you have had with this teacher. *Share an anecdote about how this teacher has; reached you, influences your life, changed your education, brightened your day etc.
