From the Soviet perspective, the U. S. became liable for the chilly conflict because of fact of us of a of america s movements for the period of the Russian Revolution. US troops fought for White Russians, and the U. S. provided those adversarial to the Revolution. After the conflict issues weren t lots greater constructive. Anti-communist thoughts in the U. S. have constantly been good, even with a minority of "followers" who did no longer have self assurance the U.S. ought to do any incorrect. The alliance between the two international places for the period of the conflict became in basic terms a convenience. even because of fact the european conflict became ending, the two element struggled to establish informants and spies in each others territory. Stalin additionally felt the U. S. and england had no longer carried out each thing they d do to open up a "2d front" in Europe whilst Germany and the U.S. have been locked in a dying conflict in the east. whilst Stalin s paranoia became generally unfounded, that s a minimum of comprehensible. As for the thought the U. S. ought to by some ability have rebuilt the U.S., it incredibly is an absurdity. the U. S. became stretching its components, first to end off Japan, then to rebuild Europe and Japan. no longer even the U. S. would have controlled to heavily help the U.S. without heavily undercutting its efforts someplace else. And on condition that family members with the U.S. have been going downhill whilst Soviet and American troops have been shaking palms on the front, it made no experience to place money into what became right this moment becoming to be an enemy. the U.S. became busy stripping its factors of Germany of each efficient it ought to lay palms on(as much as and which comprise kitchen sinks and lavatories). we are fortunate that it remained a chilly, incredibly than a warm conflict. the U. S. became no longer interested in persevering with the conflict, nevertheless specific human beings promoted the belief of a conflict against communism. And we resisted employing nukes as quickly as we ve been the only ones that had them. luckily, the U.S. too confirmed adequate restraint that the two countries, and mankind generally, controlled to stay to tell the story till the U.S. s dissolution ended the chilly conflict.

The Cold War is more or less a political war that led to the Korean and Vietnam Wars. It was mainly between two of the world s superpowers: The United States, fighting for democracy, and Russia, fighting for communism. As Europe was recovering from being battle torn, Russia was trying to spread communism while the United States was trying to contain it. Containment was also the basis for the massive non-wars mentioned above. Technically, the Korean and Vietnam were never wars as it wasn t declared so by congress. But of course, everyone else considers it a war. So basically it s a war between idealogies. Democracy vs. Communism. Hope this can get you started.

During the Cold War, US policy was to support any country that was opposed to communism and to do so by economic, political and military means. The US policy was also to contain communism. When Ronald Reagan became president, US policy was to win the Cold War through a huge military buildup, developing SDI and subverting communist governments around the world. Under Reagan, US foreign policy was to defeat communism and replace it with freedom and democracy.

One of the earliest events in the origin of the Cold War arose from the anti-Communism remarks of British leader Winston Churchill.  On March 5, 1946, in a famous speech characteristic of the political climate of the time, he said:
