Parenting is the ultimate long-term investment. Be prepared to put far more into it than you get out of it, at least for some time. Given the structure and stresses of contemporary North American society, the happiness of couples plummets the minute they become parents. And it gets worse before it gets better. In the long run, however, it can be the most rewarding job of your life.

But the needs of child development as delineated by science remain relatively stable. There is such a thing as overparenting, and aiming for perfection in parenting might be a fool''''''''''''''''s mission. Too much parenting cripples children as they move into adulthood, renders them unable to cope with the merest setbacks, and is believed to be a major cause of failure-to-launch syndrome.

Divorce is a traumatic and difficult decision for all parties involved—and there’s arguably no salve besides time to take that pain away. However, when the whole concept of marriage and divorce is reexamined, there’s actually something far more powerful—and positive—at play.

The media likes to throw around the statistic that 50% of all marriages end in divorce. It turns out that’s accurate: Many people are concerned about the divorce rate and see it as an important problem that needs to be fixed. But what if divorce itself isn’t the problem? What if it’s just a symptom of something deeper that needs our attention? The high divorce rate might actually be a calling to learn a new way of being in relationships.

It happened yet again. As I was sitting at the table for dinner with my children, I noticed my daughter's hand fishing around under her skirt.

"We don't play with our vulvas at the table. Go wash your hands and finish your food," I scolded. She nodded, ran off to wash her hands, and resumed picking at her dinner instead.

This is a devastating thing. Covering it up won t heal it. Talk to someone you trust, like a counselor or pastor. Remember that it is not your fault and there s nothing you could have done to stop it. This is out of your control.

I am not a lawyer, but since there are no other answers I will try my best. Anything I say can be wrong, hence forth the "Wrong Answer.".lol 1). Yes, siblings can be separated. This rarely happens though. Simply state your objections (or your personal preferences for this) to the family court counsilor about this. They will take that into a very important consideration. 2). If you know you are going to be doing things, take the clothes and things you will need accordingly. Be aware that some parents will make you leave whatever you take to their house there, never to be taken back with you. 3). As there are financial hardships ahead of you, the most important things to be doing is to keep things as "normal" as possible. This means going to school and keeping those grades up and not getting into any trouble. A rule that might help you is, "You get what you get and you don t complain." After all, what good is complaining going to do anyways? It will make things harder on everyone though. 4). You can try. Almost always the courts assign the children to the mother with extremely little regard for what is best for the family. Fathers are typically thrown under the bus when it comes to these matters. Whomever you want to go with, simply make a list of reasons why and tell the family court services counsilor. At certain ages in different states (I think 12 years old) children s wishes as to what parent they want to live with is supposed to be taken into consideration. (lol, yeah, right!). 5). Scheduling. that is a tough one. You are really going to have to take these things slowly. Sometimes even slow them down to minute by minute and second to second. 6). You need to know that this is an extremely stressful time in everybody s lives. Both your parents and your sister all love you but in different ways. Any time you are not spending with them is a terrible, torturous time for that parent. Keep a positive, can do attitude. Stay optomistic. This too shall pass. You will adjust, everyone will adjust but it takes time. Some sooner than others. On a personal note: My children went with their mother. I had to drive 3 hours each way to see my children. It was extremely difficult. I paid my child support and provided benefits for 16+ more years. Their mother was constantly at them to hate me even though she divorced me. Maybe when these "children" mature into adulthood and see how the real world is they will understand how much I love them, and did for them, and why. Email me if I can be of any further assistance. Good luck. Good luck.

Ofcourse u are being mean to urself as well as ur mom. There is no need for u to be angry with ur mom. Divorce is a mean thing to happen into any family and I know it destroys the children completely but always remember that anything that happens, happens for our good. It is better to live alone than in an unhappy relation. So u are old enough so get up and get on with ur life and forget the past.
