Graphic organizers are great for placing and obtaining information for your essay. They should be used to categorize, organize and to provide a way of handing information and concepts. Graphic organizers then should be used in putting the information into essay form./

I know what you ve been through. This has happened to me a lot, and even right now. When I am really tired, I focus mainly on getting it done. Here s what I usually do. I. On a planning sheet, write down random thoughts about what I m going to write about. (3 minutes). II. Highlight similar thoughts in one color. (2 minutes). III. Using a graphic organizer and jot down and organize your thoughts. (5 minutes) IV. Copy down your graphic organizer onto a blank and add whatever you need to as you go. (15 minutes). There you go, an essay in 25 minutes.
