As a statistician, I wonder what the sample size was, and the demographics of said sample size. I personally would rather read the journal, or write-up of the experiment rather than an article written for a website. Article-writing leaves out a good amount of statistical information that is vital for truly understanding the research. And in any case, the brain is considered a "plastic" organ, meaning that it is flexible and can adapt to what an individual really works on. For example, a non-amateur violinist has more cortex devoted to his/her fingers that he/she uses to change the notes on the violin. This can apply in other areas of the brain as well.it s what you train that matters. It s simple neuroscience. _______ Hun, I don t think you understand that scientists use statistics in order to reach the conclusions that they do. You can t just throw out conclusions to a hypothesis without investigating whether or not you can reject the null hypothesis.it s completely invalid to do such a thing. No need to be rude, either.I haven t been rude to you. _______ I am sure that the labels are there because they are comparing the two, that s the point of the study. Can t very well have all the brains mixed together without designating which is which. I just find it very hard to accept a study as complete fact if it hasn t been generalized around the entire globe. That is what makes research valid, it is in every piece of literature you can read on the subject. The reason why the scientific world is able to debunk so-called "fairy tales" in certain aspects of the Christian religion is because research outcomes are consistent. No matter the time, the place, who s conducting the research, etc. That is what makes science valid. That is how we reach conclusions. I would love to see this study replicated under other conditions, in other parts of the world, and see the results. Love to. Would do it myself, because I am a scientific person and I *really* love the scientific method. But until this is done, I can t really make anything out of the article. In fact, if it were ethical to do such a thing, I would take scans of newborns and compare the two. Little to no environmental influence at that point, pretty much natural.

The legendary Native American chieftain refuses to go with his people peacefully to the reservation and starts a rebellion.

Tales from the American West in the 19th century, told from the perspective of two families, one of white settlers and one of Native Americans.

In Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, historian Dee Brown uses the massacre at Wounded Knee Creek as a backdrop for his examination of race relations between whites and Native Americans. He details many of the atrocities the Native Americans suffered during the genocide against them and points out the relatively few moments when whites attempted to live peacefully with them.

Brown opens by relating the different attitudes toward Native Americans held by various European groups. Though there were some attempts to live in peace, for the most part the white settlers decided to exterminate the Native Americans.
