His opinions and speeches where always the hot-topic for the whites, because it was "different" back then. He was agains t slavery. He got to jail because of it, because white poeple couldn t handle the stress of having their "slaves" mouthed agains t them. He did so many great thing for the black community, unlike Lil Wayne.
