it is actually a good book. in school i hated reading, but i actually read this one. 1 highlight ( you know there's a movie for it also) we watched that while we read it and the part when tha rich husband slaps tha piss out of his wife was great, cuz we had a bunch of lames in my class. ITS A GREAT BOOK
its about the great gatsby, apparently..
First, The Great Gatsby is an excellent read. Not a fun read, but truly profound. Essentially, the book is about a small group of societal "elites" trying to find true love, beauty and meaning in an utterly vapid, pleasure-oriented world. It is told in the first person, but the two main characters are named Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan, who struggle with understanding their love for each other.
